COACHING CREDO

Strong work ethic

HAVE A STRONG WORK ETHIC

I am a person of strong work ethic. As far back as I can confidently remember, I always had an innate response to situations that required me to be on my A game. For example: a good night's rest before a dance recital or making sure to pack an adequate amount of food for a track meet. Before any workout or sporting event, warming up my body and getting my mind in the zone were crucial to getting a result I was happy with. And that's how I operated for many years.

Products of our exeriences

In high school, learning and growth occurred by way of experience for me and mostly happened on the track field, not in the classroom. The university years brought more formal education and my first learning experience covering nutrition. I always knew eating was a basic human need but I was never taught that the quality of food matters.

WE ARE PRODUCTS OF OUR EXPERIENCES

Put in the effort

PUT IN THE EFFORT

I am a person that never stops trying. After 10 years of living life and taking Spanish classes in Bellingham, Washington, I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. After graduating, I thrust myself into an administrative support role in corporate america (mostly out of convenience and needing a big kid job) and made it my mission to find happiness and a successful career there. Within the first 2 years, I had my ebbs and flows and wanted to quit a couple of times for different reasons. All feelings/signs pointing to: this type of job was just not a good fit for me. But, things kept coming up that advanced my career so I kept reaching for happiness, straining for it...in a place where it never truly existed for me.

Do your best

"DO YOUR BEST AND FORGET THE REST!"

Around the 3 year mark, I was offered an opportunity to relocate for work to sunny Arizona (where I currently reside). My partner and I packed up and joined many immediate family members in the area. Things at work were good for a short time. I was promoted and spent the next year and a half building and maintaining a high-performing team. I was proud of them and I was proud of myself. It felt good! ...but I eventually returned to that feeling that something was missing here. To start exploring a new career path, I became an independent BODi Health and Fitness Coach and did that part time for the next 6 months. It was through this coaching experience and becoming a leader at work that helped me realize that it's when I am in that space of guiding, coaching and partnering on someone else's journey, that I really come alive.

Health and wellness

MAKE HEALTH AND WELLNESS A TOP PRIORITY!

Health and wellness has always been a top priority of mine. As my 6 year anniversary with that company approached, I reached a point where I was completely lost, out of touch with myself and had no clue where I wanted to go in life. I found myself struggling to enjoy things that I once loved and was concerned that if I didn't make some changes, stress and worry would eventually wear me down to nothing. My chronic pain had gotten worse and I was not the happy, go-lucky person I had been for many years. I made the very difficult decision to leave my job and focus on my mental and physical health.

Growth Mindset

I spent the next few months feeling really lost and really lame. The decision to leave my job was supposed to be a good one, but I didn't feel any different and I had no tools to combat my mental health struggles. I also had no money coming in. So, I started focusing on me because that was the only thing I could be sure of. Hence, the beginning of my personal development and spiritual journey (which I am still currently on and believe the "exploration phase" never ends). I started reading and studying lots of personal development work and applying everything I was learning on a regular basis. I learned from some popular names like Brené Brown and Louise Hay and I started developing an "A team" of healthcare providers. I tapped into the powers of meditation and have loved the self-awareness I have gained. I have learned a lot about myself and that helps me navigate my day to day and unexpected life challenges.

STRIVE FOR A GROWTH MINDSET

Joy

I became a life coach because I knew I wanted to work one on one with people that had been on a similar path of discontent or simply striving to master self-development. I want to help people gain control of their lives and see their spirit come to life again. I want to collaborate with people and see their confidence ignite when they realize they have had that kind of power all along. I have always loved helping people and life coaching allows me to pass along the many gifts that I have learned so far.

DO THINGS THAT BRING YOU JOY

Go easy on yourself

This is something I have to work at everyday. I believe we are all human beings just trying to survive and do right by one another. We sometimes get caught up in the details and forget the strength we're made of. When we can look inside and witness our potential, our outside becomes more manageable and in some cases, we slay!

GO EASY ON YOURSELF!

Prioritize Your Needs

Don't forget: a lot can happen when you prioritize yourself. Prioritize You Coaching starts by focusing on YOU. Once the power of prioritizing yourself is unlocked, you magically become able to prioritize the important things in your life and send that feel-good focus outward.

REMEMBER TO PRIORITIZE YOUR NEEDS
